Will the tax credit get extended?Category: Dallas Real Estate News | Permalink Published: Thursday, October 22, 2009 As you know the deadline for the first time home buyer tax credit ends December 1, 2009 (really you should be closed before then just in case there is a problem). The government is saying that the economy is recovering but we still have a long way to go before we are out of the clear. I believe as do many other people that extending the tax credit will help continue the growth of the economy and eventually pull us out of this recession. I have been writing and emailing our congress and senate representatives to see what they plan on doing about the tax credit. This is the response I received from Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison:
